Travis Kelce appears to defend cat-loving girlfriend Taylor Swift when his brother Jason suggests he is ‘suspicious’ of ‘cat people’ in a recent podcast episode. Swifties are here for it.
Popstar Taylor Swift has made it clear to fans she is a lover of her feline friends, so when recently rtird football star Jason Kelce throws shade at ‘cat people’, his brother Travis is quick to discreetly fire back.

Jason Kelce says he’s ‘suspicious’ of ‘cat people’
The latest episode of New Heights, a podcast series with football’s famous family duo – Jason from the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis Kelce from the Kansas City Chiefs, features the pair discussing Jason’s retirement, Travis’s trip to Australia, and cats.
Yes, you read that right, cats. In the ‘fan mentions of the week’ segment of the episode, Travis brings up a saga of Jason and cats.
Trav proceeded to present a viral tweet showing a cat with a pattern on its back which the Internet has decided looks exactly like Jason Kelce’s face, due to the shape of his facial hair and large beard.
The 34-year-old joked: “You can not un-see it.”
The tweet was originally posted to ask what people see when looking at the unique shape of a cat’s fur, the choices were between a panda or two turtles swimming.
A Twitter/X user named @SekeltheAwesome suggested that the cat’s fur instead looks like NFL player Jason Kelce. It looks pretty accurate if you ask us…
Jason argues the cat only looks similar to him because of the way the photograph has been cropped. Defensive, right?
The tight end then asks his brother if he thinks the owner may have dyed their cat’s fur, to which Jason jokes: “I don’t put anything past cat people.”

The 36-year-old has previously made it very clear that he is not the biggest fan of cats, while his wife Kylie and brother Travis have discussed how they could get him on board with welcoming a feline into his family.
Travis Kelce ‘defends’ Taylor Swift and fellow ‘cat people’

Travis laughed at Jason’s joke before asking: “What do you mean cat people? You’re cat people! You grew up with one!”
The pair then began to reminisce on fond memories of their childhood cat named Flash.
Swifties tuned into the podcast praised Travis for defending Taylor.
One Twitter fan joked: “I can’t wait for the day Taylor and Travis just show up with a cat for Jason and the girls fall in love and he can’t say no.”
Lots of fans are impressed that Travis “put some respect on cat people.”

Another fan suggested that the celebrity couple should visit Jason’s family for a long weekend with Taylor’s cats.
They joked: “Taylor should bring her own cats (or maybe just Benji) to meet the girls, and give Jason a taste of what cat person life is like.”
Taylor Swift has always been a cat-lover
Pop star Taylor Swift comes a package deal with her three cats who are named Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button.
The feline trio often makes appearances in social media posts, public outings, adverts, music videos, and interview conversations.
The singer’s TikTok account is even dedicated to her pets as her bio suggests: “This is pretty much just a cat account.”
